Lé Mahi may sound French, but it is a self-converted Afrikaans word, 'lê maar hier', meaning "to lay down here" and that is exactly what we want you to do - lay down all your concerns, relax and enjoy your stay here! Comfort, quality and modern interiors, a relaxing atmosphere, value for your money and our on-going strive for excellent service is our promise to you. What you see on our website is what you get - no nasty surprises when you get here. We did however create a colourful and warm enviroment that will make you feel welcome from the moment you arrive until you leave.
Lé Mahi is located an easy 10 to 15 minute walk from the beach (1 km) and centre of the town where you will find lovely restaurants and shops. In Langebaan you can enjoy the beach, nature, shopping and just having a good time! Our flower-season from Aug to Oct, also known as the Secret Season, attracts tourists from all over and is really worth a visit.
Langebaan is 130 km from Cape Town and Cape Town International Airport on the West Coast of South Africa. Various historic and natural heritage sites are easily accessible from our Guest House. The Lagoon of Langebaan is a proclaimed natural heritage site where migrant birds from as far as Russia & Europe are noted annually. Other places of interest such as Geelbek Restaurant, West Coast National Park and the Postberg Nature Reserve, as well as the Fossil Park are also very popular visits.
Our Manager Bernardine Challita, has been in the Hospitality industry for 20 years and is the best hostess anyone can ask for as her work is her passion. She has a Diploma in Hotel Management and is a qualified Pastry Chef, so the breakfasts are really a surprise every morning! The owner of Le Mahi, Sanet Burr-Dixon is an Interior Designer and together we can assure that your will have a memorable stay.
